The Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) is a 4-year undergraduate professional degree (including a 6-month internship) that trains students to diagnose, assess, and treat hearing, speech, language, and communication disorders. This program is regulated by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and equips graduates with the skills needed to work as audiologists and speech-language pathologists, helping patients improve their communication abilities and overall quality of life.

Duration & Eligibility

4 Years

Candidates generally need to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and studied Physics, Chemistry, and one of the following subjects: Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Electronics, or Psychology.

Admission can be merit-based (10+2 marks) or entrance-based (CUET or IPUCET, etc.). Merit-based admissions depend on Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics scores. Entrance-based admissions require candidates to clear the exam and meet the cutoff marks. Unlike medical courses like MBBS, BASLP programs do not require NEET.

Course Fees

India: Government Colleges: INR 20,000 to INR 1 lakh, Private Colleges: INR 50,000 to INR 5,00,000.

International: The fee ranges from $50,000 – $90,000 per year
